Poll: Amid Financial Hardship, Americans Trimming Workout Budget Yet Tai Chi Dominating Among Older People
January 8, 2010 - According to a recent survey by the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA), economic hard times have Americans downsizing their workout equipment, trimming their workout budgets, and shifting their workout venues. In the meantime, the survey shows, the graying of the fitness community is continuing. For people 65 or older, the exercises dominate in two categories: aquatic activities and Tai Chi.
