Consumer Reports Interviews ATCQA and Runs Article about Tai Chi
April 25, 2017 -
Consumer Reports, the non-profit publication dedicated to unbiased product testing, consumer-oriented research, public education, and advocacy, ran an article about Tai Chi for Back Pain in March.
The article cited the guidelines released by the American College of Physicians in March suggesting that Tai Chi can be an effective defense against back pain. In addition, a new, nationally representative Consumer Reports survey of more than 3,500 adults who have had back pain in the last three years confirms that tai chi helps provide relief.
The author of the article interviewed several people for this piece, including Linda Huang, a Director at American Tai Chi and Qigong Association (ATCQA). The article also describes 3 Tai Chi movements that consumers can try for relieving lower back pain.
